Lamar is a Holistic Health Practitioner and Touch for Health Practitioner. Lamar apprenticed with Cheri DuChene, and has studied extensively with Richard Gordan, Phil Selinsky, Martin Kelly-Smith and Stuart Tawes in developing his eclectic style of bodywork. He received his practitioner trainings from SBBTI, and the Touch for Health Foundation. He maintains a private bodywork practice in Santa Barbara and is preparing for medical school at Santa Barbara City College.

Matthew is a Master Medical Qi Gong Practitioner, a Holistic Health Practitioner, an Herbal Pharmacist and an Acupuncture Apprentice with Dr. Henry Han. He is the author of SBBTI's Five Element Physiology, Immune Physiology and Toxicology, and Meridian Mapping. He received his practitioner training from SBBTI and the International Institute of Medical Qi Gong. He maintains a Medical Qi Gong and bodywork practice in Santa Barbara.
 
 
John Harris, MT

John is coauthor of Fix Pain and co-creator of Barefoot Bodyworks. He co-founded The Sports Massage Training Institute (first full-time sports massage school in the U.S.). The TAFE in Australia adopted their sports protocol as part of a 2- year professional-level program. John's unique and lively bodywork training style has taken him worldwide as workshop facilitator, therapist at the 1984 Olympics and presenter for the CMTA, the Association for Humanistic Psychology and other professional schools and organizations. John is an auto-didact, who views Janet Travel and James Cyriax as his bodywork mentors. He maintains an injury care bodywork practice at SBBTI.

Katie is Director of the Santa Barbara Body Therapy Institute. She is author of the SBBTI Level I Manual and developer of the SBBTI certificate programs. Her studies with Deborah Hunter, Renee Fleming, Rodger Janke, Marshal Rosenburg, Phil Selinsky, Mary Sullivan, and Vern Woolf have all been foundational in the holistic framework of SBBTI that shapes the curriculum, techniques and experiences offered throughout SBBTI certificate programs. She maintains an active presence in the classroom, daily operations and in private practice.
 
 
Sonia Ross, MT

Massage Technician Program
Sonia is a Licensed Massage Therapist. She is a record-breaking cyclist for the Ride Across America and teaches competitive cyclists in training. She received her therapist training through SBBTI. She maintains a private practice in sports and injury care in Santa Barbara.

Mary is a Licensed Acupuncturist, Cranial Sacral Therapist, Registered Polarity Practitioner, and a Massage Therapist. She is author of Cranial Sacral Therapy and Polarity Therapy, manuals and DVDs through Real Bodywork. She has studied with Hugh Milne, Charles Ridley, Michael Shea, Susan Osborne Sheets and Ray Castellino and has degrees from the Alive Polarity Institute, Pacifica Graduate Institute and Santa Barbara College of Oriental Medicine. She maintains a private practice in Northfork, Fresno and Santa Barbara, CA.
 
 
Deborah Devar, the developer of the Path to Perfect Health Essential Oils (PTPH), stands on a solid foundation when it comes to the most efficient and affordable path to gain health everyday. An early and intense passion for medicine, chemistry and biology have developed into 30 years of experience in the health and beauty industry, including owning and operating 5 medical day spas, establishing and operating a state licensed holistic healing college, as well as being an educator and platform artist for several leading manufactures in the beauty industry. Deborah is also the author of a naturopathic textbook “A Path to Perfect Health” designed for in-home use. Sherrie Bitts Dawkins is a professional aromatherapist in practice since 1995, a certified, licensed massage therapist, educator, speaker, and owner of Cherubs Aromatherapy, a business dedicated to providing excellence in aromatherapy products to practitioners and the spa industry.

Sherrie graduated from Michael Scholes' School of Aromatic Studies in
Beverly Hills in 1995 and his Advanced Course in 1997 with honors. She has also studied aromatherapy with Kurt Schnaubelt and Jeanne Rose. Sherrie graduated from the Santa Barbara Body Therapy Institute in 1997 and is a practitioner of aromatherapy and massage.

Owning a retail aromatherapy shop, day spa and wholesale manufacturing warehouse in Ojai since 1997 has given Sherrie an inside view of the practice of true aromatherapy as well as an appreciation and understanding of what it means to be a holistic practitioner, retailer, and business owner. She enthusiastically shares her expertise.

Erick Hudson, MT, HHP, Bodyworker since 2005

Erick is a graduate of SBBTI's 1000-hour Holistic Health Practitioner Program. He has worked in psychiatric nursing care for twenty-five years as well as a longtime student of Martial Arts. He now maintains a private bodywork practice in Deep Tissue, Trigger Point and Asian Bodywork.
