Buteyko
Breathing Method offers proven, safe and highly
effective techniques to control asthma, and a variety of hyperventilation
symptoms without drugs. The course illuminates the
dynamics and physiology of breathing, and its importance and
function in being and staying healthy. Students learn how
to balance their CO 2 blood level and thereby increase their
oxygen uptake within the tissues. Students learn how to modulate
their breath to make their lives more nourishing, more comfortable,
and more breathable. Common hyperventilation symptoms alleviated
through the Buteyko Breathing Method include: asthma, anxiety,
allergies, snoring, sleep apnea, insomnia, chronic fatigue,
fibromyalgia, emphysema, stuffed nose, deviated septa, erratic
breathing patterns, shallow breathing, shortness of breath,
high blood pressure, forgetfulness, depression, irritability,
eczema and angina. Techniques are effective with adults of
all ages and children as young as four. |

| Classroom
Assistant offers a review of course content and a context
for leadership development in the classroom. Assistants receiving
credit within the 1000hr program may be called on to lead movement
skills, one and one instruction during massage trades, mini
lectures, or group facilitation. Assistants are also
responsible for supporting classroom logistics and tracking
the dynamics of the group. Assistants are subject to Instructor
approval. |

| Clinic
Supervisor builds on the leadership and instructional
skills gained as classroom assistant. Supervisors oversee the
student clinic, assessing client indications and contraindications,
and coach students on technique and client intake process. Supervisors
offer brief tutorials in between sessions addressing issues
arising from the clinic sessions, including ethics, techniques
and assessment. |

Unfolding Potential Offers information from the new
sciences (Holographics, Quantum Physics, Information Theory,
Developmental Psychology, etc.) in the context of transforming
human consciousness. Learn how to use the new information to
meet both the personal and community challenges we are facing
in the world today. Explore the information systems ( holodynes
) that control human thoughts, feelings and actions. Learn
how to access and transform your personal holodynes through
a process called Tracking. |

Intimacy Offers processes for creating a quality of
connection and authenticity in all one's relationships. Transform
the information systems that control the way you relate to other
people. Unfold the Being of Togetherness or inherent
potential within your relationships, be it a casual acquaintance
or your most intimate partner. Learn valuable communication
skills for establishing trust, rapport and aliveness in all
relationships. |

| Holodynamics:
Shifting Fields Offers processes for shifting ancestral
and collective fields. Fields are groupings or matrices of holodynes.
Ancestral fields may span through multiple generations and often
are imbedded in the genetic codes passed down from one generation
to the next. Learn subtle sensing skills to contact the information
systems carried within ancestral fields. Learn processes that
embrace the strengths and transform the limiting influences
of one's ancestral line. Learn to focus your consciousness outside
of time and thereby relive the past and pre-live
the future. Transformation of ancestral fields occurs
both on the micro level of the genetic codes as well as the
macro level of the collective field within one's family tree.

three courses. Potentializing embraces all life processes, all

potential. Learn the six stages of potentializing towards unfolding
the potential of any circumstance, course of action, relationship

Stone Massage conveys the basic principles and how-to
of Hot Stone Massage for private practice or day spa setting.
Students learn the principles of hot/cold therapy, indications/
contraindications and safety precautions. Students learn protocols
for specific layouts, customizing sessions, selecting stones
and creating a sumptuous spa experience. |

| Visionary
Craniosacral Work I (a Milne Institute offering) prepares
bodyworkers to interface with and enhance the rhythm of the
craniosacral system using gentle contact on the bones.
The course offers 12-5 techniques using a process of gentle,
sensitive finger touch to optimize the movement pattern within
the body known as the cranial wave. Balancing the cranial wave
also enhances the movement of cerebral spinal fluid, which can
relieve a variety of symptoms including trauma, stress, headaches,
tinnitus, sinus problems and TMJ syndrome, as well as give rise
to deeper states of relaxation and revitalization of the body/mind.
The course also offers process-centered experiences including
meditation and poetry to connect students with their own “stillpoint”
and capacity to sit in silence and deepen communication with
self and client. |
